We are all wise.
Our lives are storied.
Why Wise Stories?
My approach to therapy is guided by two main beliefs: we are all wise and our lives are made up of stories.

We all have wisdom (each and every one of us) - that intuitive, gut feeling that helps guide our decision making and supports us in living the lives we want to live. Sometimes things can get in the way of us accessing this wisdom. Sometimes, we can be tricked into thinking we aren't capable of accessing this wisdom, or even that it doesn't exist at all for us.

Consider that we understand our lives through stories: events in our lives that are linked together across time according to a plot. Humans are meaning-making creatures who try to make sense of our lives through these stories - about ourselves, our challenges, our experiences, our relationships, our successes and failures. How we attribute meaning to these stories and understand these stories impacts how we understand ourselves. Sometimes certain stories start to dominate and impact how we understand ourselves in major ways that impact us in living the lives we want to live.

My approach at Wise Stories is to collaborate with you to discover which stories have become dominant in your life that may be overshadowing your wise stories, and discover practical ways you can access your wise self to live the life you want to live.
